Peachy keen

Peach was practically jogging to her class, she was going to be late and it was all Lemon's fault. She scowled at the thought, her sister had spent all morning in the bathroom and when Peach finally got the chance to squeeze in her 5 minutes her sister had taken off without her. Leaving her with no other option but to walk. Well, she did have Drexel's number she reconsidered and the thought of him made her expression soften. She was sure if she had asked he would have picked her up but it was too early in the day to be asking for favors. She sighed and finally slowed down as the door to the classroom came into view, she had about three minutes left, she wouldn't be late after all. She took a slight detour to the water fountain and while taking extra caution not to get the tips of her hair wet she took a long drink.

“Hey Peaches.” Rowen smirked down at the girl as she rose up from getting a drink out of the fountain. He noticed the slight flush of her cheeks and the ruffled look of her silky pink hair and while this would normal make a girl look silly and rough he thought it made he look even prettier. “In a hurry to see your prince charming?” His eye brow perked up at her as he slumped his shoulder against the wall and scratched absently at his clean shaven jaw, keeping his gaze locked on her.

"Prince charming?" Peach asked innocently as she perked up to glance around the practically deserted hallway. She turned back to him, her blue-green eyes settling back on his bold features "Why..." She started with a mischievous smirk "All I see is a toad" She shot back with a snort. Clearly finding amusement in her own joke. She had to deal with Lemon this morning and she was not going to have to deal with Rowan too. "Now if you'll excuse me." She brushed a pink lock of hair of her shoulder with a slight shake of her head. "I have to get to class. I don't want to ruin my perfect attendance." and with that she turned and started towards first period.

Rowen grasped her wrist gently but still with a firm grip and pulled her around against him effortlessly. He wrapped his other arm around her waist and with the hand that held the wrist he intertwined with her own fingers. “You’re already late my dear princess,” and as he said it the tardy bell rang behind him, indicating it was time for class to begin. His arm that was wrapped around her tightened pulling her closer and her tilted his head and leaned down, stopping inches from her face and returning the mischievous look the girl gave her a moment before. “Why don’t you kiss this poor toad then, so the prince charming within can come out. Though I dare say I couldn’t look better than I do now.” He was about to bend and capture her lips before she even had time to protest but was stopped by someone clearing their throat just a few feet away.

Drexel had been on his way back from the front office having dropped of a stack of papers for his homeroom teacher when he had turned the corner and stumbled upon the two. His eyes narrowed at the taller man as he moved his head away from the girls face to look at him with a smirk.

“And the evil queen has come to steal the princess.” Rowen said as he released Peach and stepped back, shoving his hands into his pocket and looking down at Drexel. He would love to kick the boys ass but he wouldn’t start it and he knew the jock wouldn’t either. Unfortunately he had to admit the blond boy did have a little bit of a brain.

Drexel didn’t bother replying back to Rowen’s comment instead he turned to Peach and smiled at her, “If you want I’ll take you to class. If I tell your teacher you were with me in the office he might over look the tardy.”

Peach could feel the heat rise into her cheeks as his lips hovered mere inches above her's. She clenched her eyes shut and leaned back as far as she could to avoid the impending kiss. Her body tensed as she heard the sound of a throat clearing. Surely it was a teacher and now she was going to get dentition for PDA too! She gripped Rowan's arms to steady herself as she whipped her head around, trying to think of some kind of excuse. But all she turned to see was Drexel standing there and her stomach sank as she wished that it really was just a teacher. Her cheeks burned a brighter shade of red, not out of embarrassment anymore, but the shame of getting caught. It wasn't really her fault, but still...

With the weight of her backpack and the sudden release of Rowan's supportive grip she stumbled back slightly but quickly regained balance. "Jerk." She scowled at Rowan and tugged the bottom hem of her striped shirt to smooth out the newly settled wrinkles. She turned away from the trouble maker and stepped closer towards Drexel relishing in his safe protective aura. "That would be great" She finally said as she tucked a lock of hair behind her ear, her eyes lowering to the floor. Not quite ready to meet his soft honey gaze so quickly.

Drexel smiled at peach before reaching out and lightly placing his hand on her back to lead her towards the classroom. Rowen who still stood watching the two seemed unfazed when he saw the small touch. he kept a cool smirk on his face and brushed past the two only glancing back to give peach a playful wink, "later princess." He turned the corner headed to is own classroom.

Drexel felt a little awkward now that it was just the two of them. He had walked up onto the scene before and had assumed peach needed rescued but now he wondered if he had interrupted them, "I um.. Didnt intervene on you two did I?" His voice was a little shy at asking the question.

A very pleased smiled spread across Peach's face as she felt Drexel's hand find it's place on her back. She practically melted back into his touch, everything about his presence was warm. From his kindhearted gaze to the pleasant blend of his cologne and she couldn't stop her head from tilting to get a better sense of his smell.

She walked beside him, beaming in his company but was quickly caught off guard at his question. "What?" she sputtered as she looked up at him, the shock clearly on her face which twisted into disgust as she processed the question. "Me and Rowan?" Her nose wrinkled and she couldn't stop the shudder that raced up her spine. "No way!" She waved her hands for emphasis before clutching them into fists. "He's just.." she paused "He's just an ass." She sighed exasperated. 'A big stupid ass' She thought, someone who knew exactly what to say to make her heart race and always challenged her. Someone who despite his rough reputation never let his touch inflict any harm on her. Her hands quickly clenched tighter in aggravation and she held her arms rigid at her side.

Before they got too close to the classroom and she had simmered down a bit Peach stopped and turned towards her escort "I'm actually really glad you showed up when you did." She looked up at him through her disheveled bangs and the corners of her mouth tilted up into a small smile. "So, thanks."

Drexel smiled down at Peach. He was pleased with the answer she had given him and honestly a little relieved to hear it. Rowen was bad news, thuggish in every aspect. From his father who dealt in shady business to the way the boy dressed, punk dark clothing and pants that were to tight in Drexel’s opinion. Skinny jeans were for girls. He shifted his thoughts back to the pretty girl in front of him and he laughed softly, “Anytime Peach.” He opened the door for her and walked over to inform her teacher on why she was tardy. After getting the okay from the professor he walked back to the door and gave Peach a small wave before leaving, shutting the door softly behind him.

Mai watched as Peach came and took the seat in front of her, she excitedly gave her a ‘you better tell me everything later’ look as the girl sat down.

Once class had drawn to a close and the teacher allowed the students a few minutes to work on their homework, Peach quickly turned around and placed both hands on her friends desk. "Mai!" She said eager to spill the happenings of this morning to her best friend. She quickly gave her a summarized version then propped her head with her palm, her elbow resting on the corner of her friend's desk. "And then" She sighed dreamily, her eyes glazing over as she recalled "Drexel walked me to class with his hand on my back-the whole time" She felt a little silly expressing how much the simple touch had affected her out loud, but Mai wasn't one to judge.

Mai was looking into a small mirror in her left hand as she applied a light pink lip gloss while listening to her friends story. "Ooooh." She replaced the top of the lip gloss and twisted it closed, puckering her shining lips at her reflection then closing the mirror and slipping it into her bag. "That is so romantic." She fluttered her eyelashes behind her pink rimmed glasses and turned to face Peach. "I'm jealous~! Those are the two hottest boys in school." Mai already had a boyfriend but he was older and went to another school so she was a little envious of her friend's school romances. "Drexel is the better choice if your going for the whole dating thing. But if it was me I'd have a little fun with Rowen before committing myself." She winked only half joking as she went on, "He is twice as sexy and has the whole heartbreak bad boy thing going. Totally my type.”

Most all of Mai’s boyfriends had been like Rowen and she had suffered many heartbreaks from them but it didn’t stop her from dating more assholes again. This time she was actually dating a nice guy. She liked him but she had to admit it wasn’t as thrilling. “Does this mean we have to start going to football games so you can watch your sexy blond man?”

Peach stretched her arms out in front of her before resting her hands on her knees casually. She did not understand Mai's attraction to bad boys. The nights she had spent staying up late consoling her definitely weaned her from the idea. Perhaps they were kind of alluring, with their cocky attitudes and their mysterious ways, but definitely not built for romance. "Well, you're free to have him." Peach added poignantly.

Once Mai mentioned the attending the football games Peach perked up "We?" She asked excitedly "You mean, you'd totally go with me?" Football season was upon them and Peach knew practically nothing about the sport so any kind of company would be nice. Another idea slipped across Peach's mind and she leaned forward to whisper "Do you think he'll let me wear his letterman jacket?"

“Of course I’ll go. Like I’d pass on seeing sexy football players.” Mai laughed at Peach’s question, “No doubt. Play the cold card on him and I’m sure he’d give you his shirt along with the jacket." She remembered something suddenly and leaned closer excitedly, “Did you hear about the party this weekend? Jessica, that rich girl who’s in the cheer squad with the huge boobs,” Most likely fake, she had muttered under her breath, “He parents are leaving the country for the weekend so she’s throwing a huge party. There is no way we can miss such a big event.”

Peach had to stifle a laugh at the teacher's disapproving glare. "You really have no shame, Mai" She propped her head up with both hands and leaned in close "Ooh, Jessica" She thought with a groan. She was one of her older sister's friends and Peach didn't get along with any of those girls. But the thought of crashing her party sounded fun and she knew it would be especially if Mai was going. "Totally" Peach was about to ask what time they should leave but the bell rung and interrupted her. They'd have the rest of the week to plan the specifics anyways. She stood and hauled her bag up over one shoulder "I'll see you during lunch."

"Good!" Mai hadn't been paying any attention to the time and still had several things scattered across her desk. She quickly set to work at shoving them in her bag as quickly and neatly as she could. "See ya then," the current task kept the girl's attention on her bag, not even looking up as Peach left.

Peach waved her hand dismissively, knowing she probably didn't have her friends attention and started off for class, determined to not let anything distract her.


Lemon stormed through the hallway, shoving other students aside with a sharp shove her elbow. She had a bone to pick with a certain ruffian. Her shoes were hardly appropriate for school and they made a threatening clack every time they made contact with the tile. She was searching for someone in particular and her eyes darkened when she finally caught sight of her prey. She moved up behind Rowan, her hand snaking around his upper arm as she pulled him around to face her while she spoke. "Rowan." She said curtly and the arm that had turned him now slipped behind his back and she pressed her chest up against his. "I heard you were picking on my little sister this morning." She reached out a manicured nail and trailed it down his chest slowly gently tugging at the fabric. "Don't you think you'd rather spend your time with the more mature Carmen sister?" She pulled her hand back and used it to trail her low neckline. "I mean," She started with a slight flip of her hair "Peach still wears underwear with the days of the week on them."

Rowan raised an eye brow at the girl’s last sentence, making a mental note to himself to check if it was true late. Today would be Monday. A smirk spread across his face as he thought out ways he would sneak a peek at Peach’s underwear and how he would tease her if they did indeed have days of the week on them. He leaned lazily back against the wall and noticed Lemon was still waiting on him, she must have thought he was smirking at her because she seemed pleased with herself. For some reason this annoyed him. It wasn’t like the girl wasn’t hot. She was Peach’s older sister after all and he could see plenty of similarities between the sisters. Lemon even had a more mature sexiness about her with the body of a model, and she knew how to dress herself to bring out every asset she owned. She also knew how to play up her looks to get what she wanted and Rowan admired a girl who knew how to manipulate people. Controlling women could be really hot, he admitted. And normally he would be willing to play her little game, get her to shake her ass a little for him and he would boost her little blond ego, it was a win win situation.

With a sigh he pushed off the wall and stood over her, smirk gone from his face replaced by a cold uninterested look. His body was inches from hers and he reached up to lift her chin, “Sounds fun, but you better not waste my time.”

Lemon beamed up at him and elongated her neck as he lifted her chin. “Me? A waste of time?” She rolled her eyes before fluttering her mascaraed lashes at him. If anyone else had insinuated this she wouldn't have hesitated to rip them to shreds. But this was Rowan, and he offered the prospect of status, something she was never quick to pass up. She had spent most of her high school career to become well known, and she didn't care if her reputation labeled her a bitch. In fact, she often took pride in the title. The corners of her lips flickered into a smile and she pulled away from his grasp. “Why, I wouldn't dream of it.” She drawled as she placed a hand on her chest in mock offense. “Take me to that party this weekend. You'll see.” She tilted her head towards him in challenge. Honestly she had no real interest in Rowan but she couldn’t let Peach ruin everything she had worked for. With the extra height of her heels she was almost his height and she leaned in close to his ear “You can pick me up at nine.” she whispered, and with that she placed a soft kiss on his neck and made sure to leave a mark from her trademark lipstick.

Before Rowen had a chance to reply to Lemon he was pushed forward by an arm around his shoulder. "Roween! You dog." Rowen rolled his eyes when he heard the voice. It was Jack, one of the few people he actually thought of as a friend. They had grown up near each other their whole lives and Jack's mother was good friends with his own so they were inseparable as children. Now the boy just loved to pick on him and he was the only person Rowen would allow to act the way Jack did.

“Good morning Lemon.” Jack gave her a broad smile before rubbing at Rowen’s face, “isn’t it too early to be molesting men in the middle of the hallway?” Jack would agree that Lemon was one of the hot girls in school but he didn’t much care for her attitude and how she would treat people she considered below her.

“Get off me.” Rowen shoved Jack off of him then faced the boy and laughed, “I heard about your prank on the chemistry teacher. I’m surprised he didn’t cut your balls for almost blowing up his classroom.”

“Ahaha! You should have seen how red his face got, if he had any proof it was me who did it he might have shot me then and there.” Jack laughed at the memory and both the boys attention turned away from the blond.

"Jack" She replied his name in greeting before fluttering her lashes at his comment. "I don't hear any complaints from the boys." She smirked before stepping back from the pair. She was a little irritated that her sexy little exit had been ruined, but she could bide her time before finding a way to retaliate. She turned away from the pair, she had said what she wanted to Rowan and her new goal was to get to the bathroom to fix her make up before class.

Rowen paused in his conversation when he noticed Lemon stepping away. "You better dress sexy." He called to her as she clacked away on her heels and he couldn't help his eyes dropping a little to check her out. Even if he was interested in Peach he couldn't pass up an opportunity to take such a hot girl to a party, even if she was Peach’s older sister.

Jack watched the girl walk off and frowned at his friend, he wouldn’t say anything against him and it wasn’t his place to do so. But that didn’t mean he had to like the idea of Rowen hanging out with such a shallow bitch.

Lemon swiveled on her heel and glanced back at him. She smirked and chuckled softly "Oh, you won't be disappointed." She noticed the drop in his gaze and turned back around and put an extra little twist in her step as she walked out of view.

Peach stood in front of the vending machines, it was a very hard decision trying to decide what kind of candy bar to get. She sighed against the dollar bill that she was tapping against her lips and stepped forward to the machine when it was her turn.

Rowen's brow perked at the girls display, it was almost hard for him to turn away and continue his conversation with Jack. When Lemon finally turned the corner and Rowen returned his eyes to his friend's he noticed the man's frown. "What?"

Jack simply shook his head at the boy. “Let’s get to class.”

“Can’t decide?” Drexel stood behind Peach, he had stopped when he saw the girl hovering before the vending machine. She was alone and he had hoped he would find her that way so she wouldn’t have an audience when he asked her. Not that he minded the attention but that didn’t mean Peach would like it.

Peach jumped, startled at the sound of a familiar voice. She glanced back over her shoulder to see Drexel behind her, she smiled. "It's always a hard choice." She put her money in the machine and chose a butterfinger, her usual default and turned around to face him. "Do you want some?" She asked, opening the bar.

He smiled at her and shook his head, "Nah, I don't like butterfingers. The inside always gets stuck in my teeth." He chuckles, slightly nervous suddenly and shifted, looking at the vending machine and clearing his throat. "So um.. Peach. You hear about the party this weekend? Jessica’s party.”

Peach laughed and shrugged in agreement, she took a bite of the candy bar and paused at his question. Choking a little she quickly swallowed it quickly and looked up at him. Is he going to ask me out she thought panicked and her words stumbled over each other "Yeah, the one on saturday?"
