Meeting The Boss

Bunny: -steps out of the elevator and onto the 11th floor into her future work place. Her flats were silent on the wood floor as she made her way towards a desk stationed against the wall with a tall dark haired woman behind it- Hello. –her voice was unusually high and cheerful, covering the nervousness she was feeling. This would be her first ‘actual’ job, as in no fast food or customer service and she was worried that she wouldnt do a good job.- I’m the new secretary, Bunny.

Lady: -Looks up from her celebrity magazine with annoyance, takes a few moments to look the girl over, not bothering to hide how completely unimpressed she was with the girl. Truthfully she didn’t like the idea of another pretty girl working in her area, driving her regular attention away, and this girl was pretty in her pink pencil skirt and soft cream silk ruffled blouse- Bunny? –reaches to a stack of papers next to her and pulls a sheet out to examine- It says on this paper that your name is Lenny.

B: -laughs a little embarrassed at being called by her real name- Oh! Yes, that’s me. I don’t really like to go by that, it’s a silly name don’t you think?

L: -raises a perfect eyebrow as if to say, ‘Bunny is any better’-

B: -clears her throat after the awkward pause, her smile more strained now- …Right. So where should I start?

L: -returns to her magazine, bored with the girl- Sit over there.

B: -turns to look curiously at the chairs behind her- yes, thank you. –goes and takes a seat-

L: -reaches forward and picks the phone up to call the bosses room and inform him of Bunny’s arrival, without taking her eyes off her magazine- Yes, the new secretary, Lenny, is out here. –Her voice had turned to a perfect receptionist voice and she even emphasized the blond girls name-

B: -sends a glare at the lady behind the desk. Really, the first day and she was already making enemies-

Kujo: -Lets out a long drawn out sigh after hanging up the phone. He had agreed to manage the company while his father was on vacation but he hadn't agreed to train a new secretary.- Send her in -he had said before promptly returning to the document he had been working on finalizing all morning-

L: -hangs the phone up- The boss will see you. -pointed down the left hallway with her pin-

B: -stands up quickly, feeling nervous and again- Yes, thank you. -walks quickly past the woman and heads down the hall-

Christian: -slides into the seat next to lady, he had been watching the whole scene form his cubical- Whoa, who's the tall sexy blond?

L: -glances at the boy next to her, knowing he was only here for the gossip- The new secretary. Her dear daddy apparently knows the owner so he was able to pull some strings for his pretty useless daughter.

C: Oooh, why do you look so jealous? -quickly moves as a notepad is thrown at him-
---
B: -stands in front of the door with a plaque reading president, she hadn't asked the girl up front which door it was, but there wasn't anyone higher than the president in a business was there? Swallowing her nerves she knocks on the door-

-Looks sharply to the door, he hadn't even met the girl yet and he was already irritated with her. Isn't the first rule for a secretary to make the boss' job easier? Stands and walks over to the door and pulls the door open and narrows his eyes at he small girl. He was slightly disappointed with her appearance and his eyes flicked shamelessly over her figure, he didn't necessarily want a homely looking girl but it seemed his father only ever hired girls with pretty faces. Girls that were too busy with their appearances to do a good job. Finally he took a step back to allow her pass- Well, aren't you going to come in? -he barked-

-her father had insisted that she apply for this job if she was going to move into the city and Bunny had begrudgingly agreed. She had never seen herself as the secretary type but he father assured her that the owner of the company was a good friend of his from back in school and that it would be a good job for her until she could find another that she preferred. There was no possible way that the tall man glaring down at her could possibly be her fathers old school friend because he looked only a few years older than herself. She was about to point this out when he snapped at her so suddenly that she almost stumbled into the room- Yes! Sorry! -she came to a stop before the large desk and turned to look back at him, still confused to see the young man- Um, are you really the boss here?

Do you think that that's an appropriate question to be asking me? -Kujo asked while raising a brow, he shook his head as a deep frown settled on his face. He would definitely be having a discussion with his father about hiring girls for their looks. He shut the door behind him and moved back around to his desk and riffled through his papers to find his copy of her profile- Have a seat -glances at the paper for the name before partially saying in a questioning voice- Lenny. -Sits down at his desk and turns back to his computer- What are your skills?

-takes a seat in one of the chairs before his desk- Please, call me Bunny. I don't like to be called by my real name. -clears her throat to give her a moment to think of skills that might be of interest. She hadn't really been prepared for an interview, the way her father had talked she had gotten the job- I- uh. I'm good at typing...and with computers, and people. Good social skills I mean, and....I'm a team player... -she cringed inside at how bad she had always been at interviews-

Mm. -Kujo grunted in reply as he had already gone back to typing up the paper he had been working on before she interrupted. The air settled around them in an awkward silence as he quickly finished typing his report- That's all very interesting. -He finally said and he whirled his chair to face her. He smoothed the front of his suit jacket He nodded his head towards a smaller desk adjacent to his, it was set up with a computer and a few other office supplies- That'll be your seat. -folds his hands across his lap- But I wouldn't get too settled in. Your performance today will determine if you stay or not. -bundles a bunch of papers he needs typed up and hands the rather large stack to her- Type these all up will you.

-looks from the stack of papers to the small desk, a horrified lump sticking in her throat. She would be working here? As in right here in this very room with him!- o-of course. -She stands and takes the papers and moves to the desk, setting the stack next to the computer. Moves to the chair and sits down, trying to keep her back strait, imagining how a secretary would sit. She had lied about being good with computers, to be honest she had never been interested technology, being more of an outdoorsy person. Sending texts on her smart phone was her only talent with technology, one time she had gotten into Safari but she never got past the search engine. Tries to position her fingers professionally on the keyboard and begins typing the pages. It only took 10 minutes before she was hunched forwards, squinting at both the pages and the computer and loudly clacking away, all her work at looking professional gone-

Kujo was doing his best to ignore the clumsy clacking of her keys but with each heavy stroke he could feel himself growing more irritated. He lifted his red eyes from his computer to the girl and his brow knitted at the sight of her feverishly checking from the computer to the paper. He cleared his throat to get her attention, perhaps he would be nice for once and give the clearly struggling girl a chance to do an easier task

-so enthralled in her work that she jumps when he clears his throat, knocking a few sheets off the desk- Yes? Something wrong? -bends to pick the pages up and put them back onto the desk-

-Closes his eyes a moment and sighs, doing his best to ignore her clumsiness- Coffee. I need some coffee.

-stands and straightens her skirt- How do you take it? -she smiled, feeling confident because she knew how to make a good cup of coffee-

-Hesitates a moment, considering. He usually took his coffee with extra creamer and sugar but for some silly reason he felt that as a business man who would be potentially taking over his fathers company he should learn to take his coffee in a less...juvenile way- Black. My preference is black.

Alrighty, one cup of coffee, comin up. -leaves the office, closing the door quietly behind her and begins walking down the hall, glancing curiously at the rooms and the people working at desks. It was a nice office- Hm... -taps her lips- I should have asked where the break room was. -shrugs, she was bound to find it sooner or later. Continues down the hall until she reaches the end and turns, after a little wondering finally finds the breakroom and spots the coffee maker- Found you! -walks over to the coffee maker and picks the carafe up, it still had coffee in it, but just by the smell she could tell it was old. Wanting to impress her boss, even if it was just with a simple cup of coffee she sets about making a new one. First rinsing the carafe and then changing the filter and getting a fresh scoop of coffee from a bag that was sitting next to the coffee maker-

Kinichi: -walks into the break room casually dressed in a black v-neck shirt, jeans and a black beanie. Starkly different than anyone else in the building- Oh, what do we have here? -Moves over to the counter to curiously inspect what she's doing- Hmm -quickly assess the situation- A new secretary perhaps?

-starts the machine before turning to the new speaker, looking him over curiously- Yes, hello. -turns back towards the counters and opens the cabinets selecting a simple white coffee cup with three black lines around the top. Walks the few steps to the sink and rinses the cup out, glancing back at the man again- now let me guess. -sets the cup down and turns, leaning back against the sink, smiling and taping her lip- your either a relative ooor a guest, by the lazy outfit. -says it teasingly-

Lazy? -Laughs and pretends to be offended- My outfit was carefully crafted and put together. -shrugs and waves his hand about- I call it, casual chic. -crosses his arms- But you are right about one thing. I am family.

-laughs at his 'chic' comment- and who is the lucky person to be related to such a fashionable man? -flaps her hand- Actually I only know about two people here...and I just realized I don't even know their names! -laughs again-

-Smirks- My father is the owner of the company. -Rests his hand on the counter and puts his weight against it as his smile grows and he reaches out to twirl a lock of her hair- Are you impressed?

-looks shocked for a second as a thought crosses her mind on just how old her new boss really was. He looked as young as the man talking to her now- Wait, is the owner out of something? Because the man I just meet is waaaay too young to be your father. Unless he's had hundreds of botox shots.... -thinks about the possibility of this, all thoughts of flirting with the man temporarily pushed to the back of her mind-

-Lets his hand drop and gives her a confused look for a moment before brightening and letting out a laugh- Ahh, no. You met Kujo. Dad must have finally went on that trip he was prattling about then. -Raises his eyebrows and gives an impressed smile- I'm surprised he doesn't have you in tears, or storming out of the office yet.

-shakes her head dismissively- He really hasn't been that bad, but I could see him being a real tight ass. -looks the man over once more- I can see the family resemblance now. Both tall and handsome. -looks over when the coffee machine beeps and moves over to pour a cup-

Kinichi frowned to himself, both handsome? He scoffed under his breath, he was much more attractive than his older brother he thought. He actually smiled unlike Kujo who rarely did. "You'll probably change your opinion about his looks once you see him get angry. -motions his hands as he explains- his veins pop out and his eyes bulge, sometimes those big nostrils flare. Really unattractive. -Glances at the clock- He'll probably start getting moody around lunch. So you might want to watch out

-laughs and tries to imagine how the man would look with flared nostrils and bulging eyes- In that case, I'd better hurry and bring him his coffee. Wouldn't want to get yelled at on the first day. -grabs a saucer and sets the cup on it, holding them in one hand and holding out her other hand for him to shake- It was was nice meeting you...um oh, we never exchanged names, did we? I'm Bunny, please do take care of me from now on.
